365 Cards - Challenge 135

Today's challenge over at 365 Cards was "On the Outside Looking In" in which we were to create a card using some see-through material to create a window.

I suppose I could have re-submitted my window card from last week, but I'm always up for a challenge, and tried to do something completely different.

I chose for my window material, vellum... I hope it's in keeping with the 'rules' though it's not strictly transparent. The look I was going for was more ethereal and the translucent properties of vellum fit the bill.

When the kickstand card is standing, you cannot see the interior image, but when the card is held and the two sides come together, you can see the botanical stamp on the card insert.

The botanical stamps are CTMH, as is the paper. Ink is Staz-On, ribbon is WalMart & the lovely Celtic knot is a found object (broken jewelry in the 'free' bin at the thrift store! Thanks for picking that up for me, Mom... it's perfect!)

Thanks for dropping by!

What a classy card, perfect for a sympathy card.

I was thinking about using vellum too, it's transparent so I think it counts.
