365 Cards - Challenges 130 & 131

Yeah, I'm going backwards... I started with Challenge 132. What of it? I hardly ever do anything 'normal' :P

365 Cards Challenge for Day 130 "That Tickles Me" The challenge was simply to create a humourous card. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed looking at all the other entries. What a fun challenge! Here's my entry:

The inside sentiment reads: "It's Official"

I used my scanner and printer to copy an appropriate thesaurus page (I'm a word nerd, and I've got several!). Crumpling and Distress Ink gave it the look I was going for... and a CTMH alphabet & Stamping Up ink finished it off with a sentiment that I can really relate to (and how!)




365 Cards Challenge for Day 131 "Ad Inspired" challenged us to create a card inspired by this Pottery Barn ad:

For this challenge, I was inspired by the window... it looks like such a lovely day outside, and the primary colours are bright and cheerful.











Here's my submission for the challenge:


I cut out the window panes with my nesties, and then another larger square in the card. I had an old report cover, that I cut the acrylic off of, to make the 'glass'.

The blue cardstock is Bazzill, the happy stripe is Lasting Impressions "Poppy Pinstripe"

The sentiment is computer generated... a fun free font I found online called "Elastic Wrath"

The inside has no sentiment, but I applied sky blue ink and a bright yellow sun to give a lovely scene through the window.
