Where does the time go? I thought it was a few months since I'd last sat down to post on the blog - but it's been half a year!! Holy Schmoley! Why is it that the older I get, the faster time flies?
Life has been hectic, and I've been feeling kinda crazy lately, but instead of calling a shrink, I do what makes me feel best - I pull out my paper and glue and get crafting! Somehow, taking the time to create makes me feel, if not sane, at least at some kind of tentative peace with the madness.
Here's my therapy for today:
365 Cards - Challenge 27 "I'm Touched"
The card must have 8 elements (not including background paper) and each element must overlap at least two others.
Crazy difficult challenge! I've only succeeded if I am allowed to call each individual colour of ribbon as a separate element. I kinda like the weaving effect - but it sure was time consuming!
365 Cards - Challenge 26 "Card Recipe"
The ingredients for this recipe are:
5x5" card
3 circles
2 squares
Ribbon
Sentiment
and the toughest part of all... nothing else!
I also played around a bit with my Silhouette, cutting the word 'Celebrate' out twice for a shadowed effect. Not for a challenge... just for fun. :D

Well, hello there! Wonder where you had gone. Glad to have you back and looks like your card making is as good as ever! I'm only making about 1 card a week, life has been busy busy here in the midwest. Can't wait to see what you do next...

Fab cards, love the weaving. It's good to see you back. I know what you mean about hectic, there never seems to be enough time in a day to sit down and have a little card enjoyment. Can't wait to see what you do next.
Great cards - and your overlapping elements definitely count for the I'm Touched card - nicely done!
Welcome back, Carolyn!!! Missed you! Awesome creations and I hope to see more soon!

Hi Carolyn ! Thanks for all your nice comments on my blog, I really appreciate it. I went to look at your profile, and was I surprised to see you live in Surrey. I lived there for 5 years, many moons ago - nice to meet you ! (Had an incredible view of Grouse Mtn out the front window, it was fun to see all the mountains again during the Olympics.)
Thanks ladies... it's great to BE back. I've missed my craft table, and my crafty online friends. :D
