Day 189 at 365 Cards is simply Charming... the task at hand: add a charm to your card.
Some of you may remember a certain Twilight challenge where I used a single earring as a charm - well, I did find the mate, and since I had already sold the card, now this one was single, too. Welcome to my disorganized little world. LOL
So, here it is... Twilight card - the sequel. This one's for Erin (a friend at work) who asked me to make an "Alice" card. After she told me who Alice was, I said "sure". (I still haven't read, nor seen, Twilight)
I hope you like it Erin!
Cardstock - Bazzill Basics; Photo source - Internet; Photo alterations - Picnik.com; Ribbon - stash; Photo Paper - HP Everyday Matte; BG Stamp - Penny Black Letter Background; Charm - stupid magically re-appearing mate to an 'already glued on card' earring.
The second card is not for a challenge... just me playing with my new "Geek is Chic" set. I LOVE IT!! OK, I work for a software company, and to say I know a lot of geeks is an understatement. This set is GREAT!!
The photo doesn't really show that Einstein's beret is glittery, though... which I think is really fun. I made a couple of these and they're going (like the majority of my cards) into the ongoing card sale at work to raise money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
Cardstock - Dollar Store (pre-made blank cards and matching envelopes); Design Paper - Basic Grey "Recess"; Stamps - Artistic Outpost; Ink - VersaFine Onyx Black; Glitter - Martha Stewart Onyx; Brads & Twine - from stash
I hope you're enjoying your weekend so far!
